The ST&LP department’s proposed training topics for 2024 have been approved by the Safety Curriculum Subcommittee and the ST&LP committee and can be downloaded by We are excited about the safety meetings we’ll be bringing you for the next 12 months. One of the new and unique topics includes a safety lab called “Induction and Overhead Grounding on the T&D System” where we hope to successfully construct an overbuild transmission and underbuild distribution line in Zack’s safety trailer to help demonstrate the dynamics when protective grounds are placed on distribution systems that run parallel with energized transmission systems.
